Definitely had some issues with image quality in this one. The vertical streaks / flickering are actually caused by the sun shining through the propellers, casting a shadow on the camera lens. Also, the motion-tracked text at the beginning took much longer than I want to admit... And I even ended up doing it an easier / not as good looking way.

Using my quadcopter to get a birds eye view of the Bandon Oregon harbor area. It was very windy that day so you will notice the tilted horizon, trying to keep the multirotor in place. Would like to have videoed more of the area especially where the boats are docked but did not want the take any chances with the quad going where it should not go. Bandon and surrounding areas are a really nice place to visit, a very scenic part of the country.
Something a little different ! A little time lapse of the once very active port of Coos Bay / North Bend. Traffic was a little bit busier today with the wood chip ship departing for Asia and a barge. The rail line in shot is the former Southern Pacific Branchline, now operated by the Port of Coos Bay. March 2015.
Video from 3-11-11, shot from Cal-Ore Life Flight's R-44. Showing Brookings/Harbor Oregon during the tsunami. This video shows multiple waves moving up the Chetco River during one of the surges. Video is shaky at times, and the audio is nothing but engine noise, so you may want to turn your speakers down.

We spotted this Harbor Seal pup, a true seal, on the beach at Oceanside, Oregon. Harbor Seals spend half their time in the water and half their time on land. If you see one, please don't touch. If you see someone touching or harassing one, call the Oregon State Police. He was a little cutie for sure!
Three new harbor seals arrived at the Oregon Zoo over the weekend, and visitors can already see the playful pinnipeds diving through the clear waters of the zoo's recently refurbished Steller Cove. The new arrivals are an 8-year-old male named Tongass, an 11-year-old female named Atuun and her 4-month-old pup, Kaya — all from the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward, Alaska. Their large, round, soulful-looking eyes — adapted for underwater sight — call to mind a Margaret Keane painting come to life. http://www.expedia.com/Portland.d178299.Destination-Travel-Guides Welcome to Portland, Oregon, where you can experience the laid-back atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest amid beautiful natural surroundings. A Portland tour is easily accomplished on foot; this city was designed for pedestrians, so you’ll be able to get around quickly. As you stroll along, you’ll find plenty of parks, fountains, and buildings old and new to explore. Be warned, this city is known for its sudden showers, so make sure you bring an umbrella to shield yourself until the sun makes a triumphant return. If you like a good brew, you’re going to love Portland’s alter-ego, Beervana – so named thanks to all the breweries located here. Wine snobs, don’t despair; you’ll find plenty to drink (responsibly) in the Willame...
In this travel video tour of Portland, Oregon, I travel to Portland, one of the most unique cities in the United States. I started my trip off by hopping off a plane and then immediately hopping onto a bus. But not just any bus, a bus operated by Brewvana Brewery Tours, the mostly women-run craft beer brewery tour company. Portland, or know as Beervana to some, is home to 55 breweries within its borders, and is truly a beer-lover's paradise. On my tour we made stops at Rogue Ales & Spirits, Laurelwood Pubic House & Brewery, Widmer Brothers Brewery and Sidecar Bar, where I had the chance to sit down over a pint with the founder and owner of Brewvana, Ashley Rose Salvitti. While in Portland, I stayed at the Tiny House Hotel, a hotel made up of, you guessed it, tiny houses. In the next po...

There are many splendid places to see in Oregon where you can let your spirit for outdoor adventure soar. The biggest challenge may be finding enough time to discover them all. There are seven statewide destinations that are easy to reach for newcomers and longtime residents alike. They are places where you can find adventure and make some fabulous memories of your own. Justin Yax of the Central Oregon Visitors Association said that the 7 Wonders of Oregon is a checklist of places you must see and experience -- especially if you call Oregon your home. "Each of the wonders is unique and majestic in its own right. They are rich with history, scenery and adventure that everyone should discover on their own. We try to make those discoveries easier through the new 7 Wonders experience."

Relaxing sound of the Pacific Ocean from a rocky beach in Oregon. 48 minutes. I did not fade in or out, so you can loop it. Farther down the beach you can occasionally hear kids playing in the ocean. An old biplane flies slowly by a couple of times. You can see the audio recorder sitting on a rock toward the right side of the photo. The waves did splash the recorder a couple of times.
Portland has one of the highest urban densities in the nation, and located in the heart of it all terminals for the Union Pacific and BNSF railroads. There is no shortage of amazing locations to scope out the countless trains that roll through the city each day. Mixed into all of this is another sort of rail based variety, the numerous MAX light rail lines that spread to every corner of the city. In recent years MAX trains can be found almost anywhere a freight train can be found, and often they share a right of way. In this the second installment of the video series we will take a look at a few spots on the Union Pacific and numerous MAX lines all around Portland.
